Excellent article great pictures. I think I know that girl na the girl I know has red hair but the same eyes. So many horses and so many female riders and life is good at the stables Buz. Love that torque curve of a Ducati V-Twin. Good work MO.

Is Ducati going to bring back the SS with the Air-cooled 1100DS motor? Loved that bike.

If you love that motor, love the Monster. Sales of the previous SS were abysmal - riders wanted more than 80hp in a "supersport". Its riding position was also way too uncomfortable for a moderately powerful bike not meant for the track. The closest Ducati might come to producing another SS is another offshoot from the SportClassic line.

Streetfighters is one area where the big4 are left in the wind. What do they got in the US? I guess you could consider the FZ-1, though it's heavier than any of the others. The Bandit is out of the running... too heavy. Honda has zip. Kawasaki likewise. The VMax is a pig too. The B-King is another porker.
Look like you got the S3, the Ducks, the Tuono, the Monsters... if you want a Japanese streetfighter you gotta get a crashed GSX750 or a literbike and make your own. Not that one of those projects wouldn't be a hoot. Hey! That's a thought. Maybe I'll search out a slightly worse for the wear GSXR750. A new top tree, lower gearing, lower the pegs..... sounds tempting. Bet I can beat BAR's price point!
