With the vstar picture a 70mph headwind when sitting on it. Also notice how your knees are doing, if they are splayed out the wind will push them further. But if your comfy an aftermarket windshield will do wonders. Still buy a cheap used smaller bike and ride it for 6 months to a year then sell it for what you paid and buy whatever your ready for after. That or just kick over your shinny new bike in the dealer lot before you leave so you scratch it right away and get that disappointment out of the way early.

You should be worried - pain has a cost that can't be measured in dollars.

Buy a cheap, used bike first. Learn to ride it.

Try a dual-sport.

Just about any used bike is better than the options you're looking at.

Get a 1977 XT500 Yamaha. The best motorcycle ever made! I have a fine example residing in my garage, that I could be talked out of for the correct amout of euro-dollars.
