This just begs for a shootout between the big STs.

I like it. The faux vent really does break up the acres of plastic.
Ok Pete. It's Spring Break and the boy is going to visit his mom for a couple weeks. Let's get that test started! |

Really nice bike, but at real world prices you can just about get 2 Kaw Concours for one top-of-the-line equipped Beemer. That is just too much cash to outlay for this bike. If BMW could get the prices in line a bit, they would sell a lot more of these. As it stands, it's just a rich man's toy.

Lotta' coin alright, still 10 years down the road BMW will still be supporting that bike. Kawasaki may have dropped the Conk already.

It's futt bucking ugly. At least in the photos; maybe it will be appealing in person. But I doubt it. The Concours 14 is not only far better looking, will no doubt eat this bike for lunch, but, as LR points out, the price differential is ridiculous.
"Is 6 lbs noteworthy? To some this difference is significant, to others not so much." To whom is less than 1% weight differential noteworthy? A laptop and charger in the saddlebag and a big lunch will add 6lbs... Yes, bring on the shootout: let's see the KC-14 humiliate the Bimmer even further.
