I'm just not enjoying the new designs that BMW is putting out. The previous generation design direction was a lot more enjoyable.

Aesthetically, I take it? IMHO, this design looks like it lacks cohesion, but the new 1000RR looks sweeeet.

I second the 1000RR comment. The new Aprilia V4 looks killer too.
Gotta give Yamaha props for the new R1 though. Styling wise it is not an improvement, but the new crossplane crank seems to be a game changer. |

I picked up an '06 K1200R about 5 months ago and have nothing but good things to say about the motor, ABS and ESA. The fueling under 4k is a different story. If you pull in the clutch in preparation for a 90 degree turn you might as well keep it in and coast rather than let it out and try to "feed" in a little throttle. There is a lot of clutch play needed to troll through parking lots and in traffic.
Above 4k, don't point it at anything solid. Above 8k, send a scout ahead to make sure the coast is clear. |

LR, I'm regular. Buzz, we can't all have 74 year old widows supporting our west coast life style.
And yes, I have one of those jobs where I have to work everyday. I tried to start a website about motorcycles and angry left-wingers that are a bit fiscally conservative but plan on growth through socialism and it didn't pan out. On that note; I like the new format. |
