Don't worry about it. Snell is revamping their entire testing and certification process and method since it was found to be utter BS. Go with any of the major brands and feel secure.

Thank you sir. I found a Shoei one for $450. Are there any good ones in the $200 range?

The Shoei is top of the line, that's the going price for their Multi-Tech in solid colors. I tried a cheapo for $100, found the sealing around the face sheild to be non-existent. Then last year at Bike Week Nolan had their 102 flip-front for sale at their factory tent for just under $300. I think it's a great helmet for the price, especially the current generation with the inboard sun shield. I rode home without ear plugs last night (forgot to put them in) and the noise level is acceptable. Nolan has their own comm system called N-Comm that you might want to look into. You install the basic speakers and mike with one package and then add modules like BlooToof or intercom.

HZ28,
Check this article, on another thread. http://www.motorcycle.com/products/f...iew-88070.html Modular helmets elicit opinions at the extremes. People either hate them or love 'em. Same shopping guidance applies. Put one on and wear it for at least 15 minutes to ensure it and your noggin fit.

Why would anyone care? Is there any actual scientific evidence that a Snell helmet is any better than a non-Snell?
No.

I just got my 103. Some nice features. Cammed fog shield pins to hold it tighter against the visor. A welcome improvement that I hadn't even thought of. It's already got SOLAS tape on it, I've got no self control. No road test yet. Still waiting on EPM to return a shock. Poor planning on my part. Snugger than the old one, I'm chalking that up to newness, that's a word, right? |

Actually it's "nooness."
Which is worse: you took and posted 30 photos of helmets, or I went and looked at 30 photos of helmets that you posted?
