Sorry, but anti-Reagan art isn't, and never was, "rebellious." In the art world, it's about as transgressive as bringing a blueberry cobbler to a Baptist church picnic.

Naw, man. They get to pat each other on the back about how "avante garde" they are. As they take their taxpayer funded paycheck home with them.

You know how "bad art" is defined, right? It's any art that the govt has to support.

I heard a quote that 'Anarchy is really cool as long as you have the ACLU backing you up'. How true. I wonder how long the 'anarchists' that live in some upscale community would live in a true 'anarchy'. I'd give em about 5 minutes.

Nah, man. These guys are true rebels! You know, how rebellious and all, making snide comments and scurrilous attacks on republicans. Relly pushing the envelope and skirting the edge. Then they march in lock step with their little "o" armbands and heaven help you if your criticize The One. That's how you show your independence of thought in the (govt supported, heh heh) art community.

I'm with you, Pete. These "Dark Customs" would really look a lot better with some sort of powder-coated black exhaust. Or maybe a black ceramic of some type. There used to be a "black chrome" too, but I rarely see it anymore. I heard it's expensive as heck. This or the Nightster would look really good with a 2 into 1 black pipe setup, like a SuperTrapp or Bassini.

Realistically, HD ought to ship the damn bikes with no exhaust at all. I'd guesstimate 80% get a new exhaust before delivery. The OEM pipes get hauled away for scrap by the truckload. They're probably re-cycled into Chinese made GE toasters.

Electrolux has at least one biga$$ plant in Minnesota.

Put some exhaust wrap on it and call it a day.

I was thinking black, 2 into 1, upswept, and covered with header wrap if I were designing the exhaust. And maybe a somewhat higher seat height so my legs wouldn't feel quite so folded up. No wonder Harleys never stay stock for long.
