Sounds like you have three firm choices, the FZ1 might be bigger but you are a lot more upright to see around in city traffic. Also if it is a case where this is your only scoot it's nice to have the extra fun factor. I've had full dressers I used to commute on before I could afford more than one bike. I have great fun on the DRZ400sm. And that runs along the freeway well over the limit.
