It's already hard to argue with the DRZ.

Yeah, but they've definitely gotta upgrade that poor excuse of a saddle to a kinder, gentler model like Corbin.

You can borrow mine, but it is a 05' with "just" a few mods.
I'll even clean it up.

By the look of your sig, you're geographically undesirable... Can you be at Riverside's Adams kart track on Weds?

Funny thing is, the DRZ is known to have a comfy saddle for a dirt bike. Real dirt bike saddles are hard thin planks and instruments of ass destruction.

The DRZ saddle suffices very well off road with the constant movement and standing, etc. It is not great on the street though. Twisty roads do help

My DRZ-S already has the FR carb, and it rocks. I rode it on a 400 mile highway trip last year, too.

Default KLX sure is purty

I got the S dual sport a few months ago but only have 600 miles on it with winter and all. It is darn smoothe for a single. It does tingle abit above 65 or so though. Waiting for 1000 miles to really ring it out. I can see how the F would be a blast.

The Yamaha is apparently a couple seconds quicker to 60 but sorry, it is kind of ugly. You can't go wrong with either. I've always been a kawi guy though. The kawi is better for beginners from what Iv'e read as it has a bit more torque down low, though it's hard to imagine as you pretty much have to rev the snot out of either. But that is what makees them fun. The FI would be nice though on cold mornings. I just didn't see another thousand dollars for the Yamaha for the off road putting around I plan to do. Purely for street riding it might matter though. Though the kawi is quick enough for all traffic conditions.

Did I mention this bike is pretty? That carries a lot of weight with me. I can look at that thing all day.

Hmmm, not broke in yet and, neutral rears it's ugly head way too often going up and down.

Needs carb work, EPA be damned the exhaust glows in the dark

Too short for dirt bike stand, sorry I'm getting old and I can't get it, the bike dammit, up onto the stand.

There are 2 numbers at the dealer for frames, hopefully the color is the only difference as I'm looking into putting some some S farkles on the SF.

Think long before you don't get the DRZ 400 instead. This will lead to the desire for a "real supermoto".
