I sure hope it kicks ass in the the comparo's this year. Since they uglied the he11 out of it, it better perform. As I said on a previous post, it was sure porky at the IMS. Now the weights show it too. Not that it matters to me, I cant do enough yoga to ride one.

Any power/torque v. RPM plots available?

This motor could be the basis for a fine sport touring bike ...goodness knows Honda is stagnant on this front.

i agree with you 12er, that headlight arangement is really ugly. but it will be interesting to see how it performs against the 08 fireblade.

it won masterbike in spain last year and also here in australia we had our own version of Master Bike and the 08 fireblade won it very easily.

The 08 Honda will be a hard act to follow, I'll give em that. But if anyone is going to make it happen I believe it will be the Yamaha, this year. And let's not countout the underdog this year!

The 09R1 headlight's look great in Race bodywork!

Although I'am left wondering what the test rider means by "may have lost some ponies off the top, but it's dynamite coming out of corners"?

But, will the headlights look good in faux fur bodywork, neon lighting and a busted left side mirror?

Will it look good with a rider in flip-flops and a wife-beater?

How will it look with a chubby chick in low-riding jeans and exposed thong as a passenger?

They always do? I think. Even though they are in the wrong hands, they still look good!
