As a past Tuono-R owner, I would have really liked to have seen the Super Duke in this test - the only other naked I'd really consider. It won bike of the year last year, would have been great to see compared against these 3 bikes.

KTM thinks the internet is a fad. Too bad for us, too bad for you. Too bad for them.

I dig the KTM as well. It's supposed to have more power than the Tuono but it doesn't accelerate as fast... go figure. The KTM has a bit better suspension than the stock 1000R IMHO and should have been the best of the bikes in this line-up that way. They're also physically smaller than the rest of these bikes. Wonderful machine.
I still like the Tuono better, although the Duke R might convince me otherwise. Still, the Tuono is more of a "real motorcycle" in terms of its practicality, it will do it all. My comments on the Buell and the S3 haven't changed. The S3 isn't a good track bike, is really my main complaint about it, so you can all but cross that purpose off the list for one... likely doesn't matter to the largest section of the demographic. Love the 1050 and with Brembo calipers, the S3 is a complete (road) bike.

I dunno... I see a lot of riders at track events here. Sometimes on an amateur organized day, there are 150+ riders. Well, well, more than 1% of the rider roster.

KTM has fully developed their "Sales Prevention Team." It's the same marketing geniuses who decided not to provide bikes for "Long Way Round." Everyone knows what a flop that was for the BMW GS series.
