Wonder how he wore-out the front tire? I've hardly seen one of those bikes with the front wheel on the ground except when its parked............

No need to question what happened to the rear; I think we can readily divine its fate.

Default 600? 1000?

Me and the kid rode to the beach yesterday and saw something interesting. First, FL has a new license tag for bikes that indicates the rider is under 21. I wonder what exactly that's supposed to accomplish, as there are apparently no special power, weight, or other restrictions on the rider or bike.

The new tag was on a "new" 2008 Yermamaha YZF 600R. What a nice bike! Except this one, with the under 21 tag, was already seriously crunched. Since the metal damage was already pretty well rusted, I'm guessing the guy wrecked it pretty quickly after buying it. Tank smooshed, plastic shattered, controls bent. The front tire had almost no tread; looked like a new rear tire.

Photos for your enjoyment (especially y'all who are buried in snow ).

I believe you are correct! Forgot all about the helmet age thing...

Longride, that means you win that all-immersible GE pop-up toaster, and you move to the all important Bonus Round!

How's the weather? It looks like a real bytch from the news reports. I guess Chicago is at least equipped for it, right?

"How's the weather?"

To put it simply to sum up my feelings: "It SUCKS!"
