The Night Train is pretty cool. it's a nice look I think, almost an evolutionary step from the pseudo 50's styled Cross Bones to a more 70's styled chopper. From the '77 Low Rider on Harley has hit the ball out of the park with the "factory custom" styled bikes, the Japanese just don't even come close.

The Night Train is pretty cool. It is one of the few Harleys I would actually buy. The Cross Bones thing along with the Dark Custom stuff is pure crap. The flat finish paint has to go too. If I'm paying 20 grand for a bike, I don't want a rattle-can paint job on it.

I remember some pretty cool looking CB750 choppers back in the day. Amen rigid frames with 10 over girder front ends, coffin tanks and 4 into 2 weed burners, seems like they were all painted metal flake orange or green..... check out "The Hondacopper.com" for some totally cool home built Honda's (not OCC crap) |

Ummm.... no, no...a chopped factory custom Shadow would be REALLY NEAT....(ahem..) I know I'd like to have one (ahm).. |
I'm on the NightTrain -
(I just LOVE that Stuff!) I'm on the NightTrain - (I can never get Enough!) Ready to Crash and Burn, I never learn, I'm on the NightTrain - (NEVER to Return.........!) |
I used to think that near 20K out the door plus the requisite tuning add ons for a bike like this was very expensive.
Now I know better, after what happened to my 401K account this year. You see, a far better investment strategy for maximum gains and enjoyment would have been to go to cash in the account, buy a Night Train, lay in a supply of booze and date hot women looking for a sugar daddy to ride behind on a cool Harley in exchange for a "good time". Such shallow pursuits would have been much wiser than staying in a diversified portfolio. Ah, the wisdom of the Night Train. Pity I am slow on the uptake and caught on too late. At least I would have enjoyed blowing the money with the bike and the broads! |
