Am starting out of a sportbike...ninja250 of course
Was wondering which company sells hard armor for shoulder/elbow, back, and chest? I was referred to KNOX CE armor before, but they have no hard armor shoulder. I was trying to look for something that I can replace soft foam armor with within the jacket....instead of an INTERNAL worn armor..that cannot be incoporated INTO the jacket itself. Thanks for the help! ![]() |

Check out Forcefield armor from Welcome to Johnson Leather Corp.. I'm sure there are other options.

Knox Advance Upgrade Kit
planetKnox - Product Catalog Advance X Upgrade Kit planetKnox - Product Catalog Air X Upgrade Kit planetKnox - Product Catalog Knox Flexiform Upgrade Kit planetKnox - Product Catalog I found this from Knox...but I don't know if these "replacements" are better than that of the stock shoulder/elbow ce approve armor of alpinestar jacket.. I'm not sure what CE level the Knox replacements are....I'm assuming they are also CE level 1? Last edited by GSavior : 12-11-2008 at 12:26 AM. |

I replace my generic armor with stuff from here: Motorcycle Armor - HIGH Performance Armor Knowledge for Motorcyclists
I also got a back protector from them for when my risk assesment rises. I've found claims ect.. for armor to be at best interesting and at times confusing. Good luck.

If you're on a budget or maybe want to spend moderately until you see where you're going with motorcycles, check out Cycle Gear's "Motoboss" line. They have a variety of armor; either hard style vests etc. or jackets and pants with removable armor. Available online at Cycle Gear - Motorcycle Apparel, Parts and Accessories or your nearby retail outlet, staffed with friendly, knowledgeable riders in a relaxed, clean environment.
Mention "Klazy Ken" at the checkout counter and get a 15% discount on all purchases of $200 or more!
