The Eagles! How old are you? I figured you for a Rush type of guy. Bet you own a Supertramp disc, too.
Could have lived with Steppenwolf or Mother's Finest- Eagles, whew! |

Street Glides are cool, I love my Electra Glide Standard even if it is a (sniff) '08 with the antique frame design...The patented "Rear Cylnder Butt Warmer" option is darn handy on these chilly NW mornings though YouTube - Supertramp with Roger Hodgson - Live - 1983 - München - Crime of the Century |

Really, I saw Alice Cooper in '76 or '77 around then anyway, pretty cool show. "On the Border" was passable I suppose ....It's funny because when Joe Walsh was in The James Gang he did pretty good. Guess it went to his head bein' all famous and stuff.. |
I'm glad they're putting something wider than a bicycle tire on the back of the Glides now. My pal Mike got an '08 Ultra, and that skinny little rear tire of his just doesn't look right. Especially when he's loaded up with his GF and stuff; I've seen it stepping out on him many times.

There is absolutely nothing wrong with the smaller diameter tires on the older bikes. They supposedly don't last as long, but I still get 12 to 14 thou out of my rear tires and I got 20 thou out of the front one and they will certainly grip all the way to scraping frame parts with no issues. I have ridden mine to the limit 2 up and never had a tire grip issue. Ask Buzglyd. Frame wobbles with the older bikes are there for sure, but the fat tire thing is just a fad to me.

I think HD is great and all that, but they can take freeking board track technology from 70 years ago and give us four valves and an OHC design, while still retaining the 45 degree air cooled split-rod masterpiece we all love and cherish. I think that would be the bestus HD ever made. A little more power, a few more revs...and some neat technology from their racing past to go along with it. Ah, too many pain pills and shine I guess...urp...where was I?
