LHM250,

If you're referring to your Avatar, I can't make out much of it; but you need to kick the model off that good looking machine!

If you are referring to my 'editorial' post, I'd have to note that in your first four posts, you have yet to use a 'Hard Return.'

But, as the 'Hawk said, hang around - you might like it here. We actually have a couple female members in our little forum. At least they say they are female...

And Cuddy will chime in here eventually. He has a lot of dirtbike background. And a similarly high level of smart-aleck.

Oh, and if you haven't already noticed, this site is 'image-unfriendly.' Meaning, if you wanted to post a full size version of, say, your avatar, you'd have to put it up somewhere else, and then provide a link to it here.

And, lastly, Welcome!

Hit "Enter" at the end of a complete thought (but not necessarily a sentence). Hit it twice, it leaves a space between that last thought and the next "topic" - that's called a "Paragraph".

Sometimes, it makes for easier reading. Often, I just type on and on and on - and THEN go back and edit my paragraphs for reading-clarity.

The way pushrod references it, makes me think he learned to type before the era of the Word Processor (like myself).

Perhaps even before the advent of the IBM Selectric, or any of them new-fangled "electric typewriting machines".........

Well then!

How about you and the boyfriend post some real pictures of the bike on a cooperating site, and send us the link!?

(This here's a bike site, don't'cha know? Now, if you just happen to be in the shot, that's fine with us.)

And yes, I'm an old fart, well on my way to 'geezer.' And a technical writer (among myriad other things).

School Call -
"Hard Return" is the 'code' for the character that tells the text editor where to break the line. 'Soft Return' is where the TE determines the margin is, and breaks the line automatically.

Or, as found in Wikipedia: A hard return is a paragraph break in a word processor. It differs from a soft return in that it starts a new paragraph.

Besides affecting the document statistics, this means that:
Often, extra space and a first line indent will be inserted.
The next line cannot become an orphan, nor the previous line a widow, if the word processor is set to control for this.

In most word processors, word wrap is handled automatically, meaning that manual soft returns are rarely if ever needed, so pressing Enter starts a new paragraph.
School Call Off (with apologies) -

Okay, how any of you have ever had to unjam two or more 'arms' because you fat-fingered the keys?

Anyone?

Back to the OP, When is the "1st Annual Motorcycle Swap Meet followed by the start of our 4th season of Dirt Track Racing under the lights" happening, again?

Yes. On both electric AND manual. First time I used that IBM selectric "ball" I thought "DAYAM!"
