Has anybody heard of a fairly long distance called the "Zombie" or "Undead" "Back from the Dead" or something similar where the only rule is that the bikes have to cost less than a certain amount, I think like $1,000 or so?

Yes, the ride originally started in York PA where the participants all had to ride pre-nineteen fifty four Allstate 250 "twingles" through the coal country in the dead of winter, nude. This was similar to the "polar bear" challenge except you didn't have to ride the bike into 30 foot deep freezing water. Local nudity laws doomed the ride, and allowed fully clothed riders to make the run without incident.

And a Damn Good Thing that was, you bet. Have you SEEN the average rider of an Allstate 250? We shower in the dark, for fear of catching a glimpse of ourselves...........
