Default Cancelled Love Ride Festivities

I rolled by Glendale Harley this morning, to check out the bike show and BBQ that replaced the cancelled Love Ride shenanigans that I've made EVERY YEAR for the past fifteen years.

It was cool, met the guys from Chicago who run the Ride Again website, that helps injured riders get on two wheels again. Got a free t-shirt for me and the old lady. Also had a hot link sandwich that will be stuck in my colon for a week or two, but hey, that's OK, it was for a good cause (?).

Here's a link: Ride-Again.com

Talked with a Glendale HD salesman inside the hallowed structure who relayed that Buells are flying out the door at a record pace. Nice, they will be collectors items one day. I know mine (despite all its faults) was a keeper.

Lots of bikes showed up, seems the majority of the big hogs have gone for the classic cruiser look that I dig, wide bars, big headlights and full fenders.

I'd post some pictures but they'd just turn out funny little icons at the bottom of the thread. WTF?

Then made it over to the Cops for Tots car show at Chaves Ravine, lots of cool stuff there today. Old cop cars and bikes. Lots of low riders and 54 Chevies with pink n' purple tuck-n-roll. It is Echo Park after all...

Nice day in L.A.
