Georgia Mountain Rally, Hiawassee, GA
May 1-3, 2009 NEW LOCATION: Georgia Mountain Fairgrounds Some of the finest and twistiest roads in the southeast make this rally a must. The beautiful North Georgia Mountain location is in close proximity to Deal's Gap, the Cherohala Skyway, Wolf Pen Gap, Two Wheels Only (TWO), Brasstown Bald, Richard Russell Scenic Parkway, Blood Mountain (Hwy 129), Nantahala, Wyah Bald, the Blue Ridge Parkway, and much more. Where exactly is the Rally? The rally site this year will be at a NEW LOCATION, in Hiawassee, GA, on the shores of Lake Chatuge at the GA Mountain Fairgrounds Music Park (Georgia Mountain Fairgrounds: Hiawassee, Georgia: Country Music Capital of Georgia )! The site is on Hwy 76 West in Hiawassee (1311 Music Hall Road, Hiawassee, Georgia 30546). GPS Coordinates for rally registration are: 34 degrees 58.1275 min N, and 83 degrees 46.4655 min W The rally fee of $45 includes 2 nights camping, rally pin for the first 400, poker run, awards, door prizes, Friday and Saturday dinners, campfire, and plenty of coffee to drink as well as shady campsites, hot showers, good food, great variety of vendors and door prizes, live music, bonfires, bike show, seminars, fun and fellowship. The location is convenient to all stores, restaurants, and shops in Hiawassee. Pre-registration is $45 (postmarked by 4/1/09) or $55 at the gate. Early registration provides a chance to win the mystery door prize. Camping before and/or after rally dates requires separate fee(s) paid directly to the campground office, but a special rally rate is offered. RV Camping requires an additional fee of $10 per night during the rally and $20 per night prior to the rally. Sounds like fun - too bad I don't have a BMW, I'd feel foolish attending on a Yamaha FZ6, Honda HawkGT, or Honda Pacific Coast.

AirHawk, BMW rallies get a fair number of riders on other bikes, so if you want to go don't let that put you off.
