I just read on the Cleveland Clinic website that the ride has been cancelled for this year, and that they hope to do it next year.

Listen up guys, The 23rd annual Teddy Bear Run has been canceled. I assure you it was not due to safety reasons. However, Tomorrow morning, the first bike will be leaving the IX center at 11:00 AM. This is an amazing charity event, and we can't let this end over some error in judgment. Myself and some fellow riders will be doing the run as scheduled, and I encourage any and all of you to do the same. There will be no police escorts on this run, and all traffic laws will be obeyed. But the Kids deserve there moment of happiness. Let us keep the ride alive on our own accord.
I hope to see as many of you there tomorrow as possible. There is no reason those kids shouldn't get there toys. If we have to drop them on the front step so be it. Let us unite and ride like we had planned. TeddyBearRun. |

Has anyone out there heard anything about a run for 2010. I have searched the Goldwing riders web sites and the Blue Knights since they are the usual sponsors for the event. Found nothing. My granddaughter was the 100th pediatric heart transplant recipient at the Clevend Clinic and she recieved a bear while she was there. I want to have her ride this year with me. I have ridden every year, except 2009, since 1990 and would really like to see this event continued. Didn't find this site in time last year to see some people were still going to ride.
