Just got new 2009 Ducati 696, it is having hard cold starts and I am having error code pickup sensor, the motor sounds rough and louder than normal. I just want to know whats going on before I call the dealer, owners manual is no help.

Who knows? The dealer will plug in the diagnostic system, it'll tell the mechanic to "Turn TBS screw 3A 2.5 turns counterclockwise," and that will be the end of it.

If you want a few laughs, ask them about the plastic gas tank class action lawsuits against Ducati.
