Default My MOron friends

My sister (who co-owns the agency) frequents a local forum for sportbike riders and stirred the hornet's nest yesterday. Seems one of our insured's went down on "the Loop" over the weekend. Not only do we know this person well, we helped secure her a place to live when she was displaced by a mean ex. Anyway, while on the forum the members were talking in vague terms and never brought up the rider's name but were discussing the wreck and events that unfolded during and after. Kim interjected a comment that the accident was driver error and one member went off. He actually sent a pretty mean email stating that he would bad mouth our agency and spread un-truthes about us because he felt it was not her place to comment on the subject.
Now, I haven't been on the forum for about two weeks, but Kim sent a message that she would no longer appear on the forum because she didn't want to create a negative effect for our business. Bloke (it's his site) called Kim to assure her that he would monitor the member that said those mean and hateful things, but Kim is still leary.
Here's the real question: Do I get involved? 1- Because I built this insurance machine 2- Because she's my sis and fvck the a-hole's attitude 3- Because there was nothing said in her post that wasn't absolutely true and/or fact
Just wondering what my MO friends think.

My opinion? I wouldn't as there are D-bags in every crowd. A lot of talk and not much gun. It would be like KPaul attacking you and your company. What is he actually going to do? Probably nothing. If you get involved you are giving this d-bag more weight to his BS to a certain degree.

But, it is easier to say that than actually do it. So, feel free to rip him a new @ss.

If nothing is done, his bad behavior will manifest again somewhere down the road. Right makes right. Take him down. Threats like his are not to be tolerated.

I don't like to waste my time on internet pissing contests. Unless the guy is local then all he's doing is talking out his butt anyway. Let your sister deal with him, if he's local and making any kind of threats then that's a legal issue, so is defamation and slander. It'd be fun to start hanging paper on the guy and drag him through the court system, You and your sister are honest and hardworking business owners trying to provide a service to your customers, making threats and slanderous statements is a misdemeanor at least.

Right, but there are a TON of idiots shooting their mouths off on forums. And you can not take them all seriously. And if you confront the idiot it just makes the idiot act up even more at times. We have seen that happen here numerous times. And if you get into an online shouting match with a d-bag it could make you, and your company, look worse in the end.

The idea of this a-hole going after someone as sweet and kind as your sister Kim is infuriating. Go stomp him into the dirt and piss on what remains.

Give him the same treatment the Angels gave some Mongol rider on the 210 this morning. My wife was stuck in traffic for an hour. Remember buddy, talk is cheap, and if it gets out of hand I'm sure we can hire some out of work Samoan shipyard worker from Long Beach to pay him a visit. In Samoa warfare is cerimonial, not in Long Beach, it's real.

I hear it was a 12 gauge. Hard to get ballistics of all those xxx .32 cal pellets.
