Got your msg Ken. Check the "Patriot" thread for my response. Oh- the Keating thing: Ain't got squat on Mrs Clinton and the S&L banking/Rose Law firm deal. She got busted for lying under oath on that and nothing happened. I'm not saying McCain is the answer but it's a better choice than a guy that's spent his entire adult life adoring Marxist beliefs.

I used to think that but now I'm not so sure. How can one ever think a buncha corrupt reps are going to ever do the right thing about the big stuff if they have no problem stealing candy from babies? It shows their character.

If they are corrupt enough to steal pennies why would one think they would balk at millions. Throw them all out... Rat and Pube.

Are you kidding me??? Obama spent years teaching Constitutional Law (that would be the US Constitution) at Harvard, perhaps our most respected national institute of higher learning. If you read his books you would see he has a deep understanding and respect for the institutions set up by our Founding Fathers. The man is as much a Marxist as my cat Elvis is...then again, Elvis does go for the "to each according to need, from each according to ability" policy. I can open the cat food cans, and he can eat the contents.

Pardon me while I "cling to my guns or religion out of frustration" LOL Please stop making Obama out to be a Second Amendment defender. It is simply not true by his own actions.

So, because he has a complete understanding of US Consitutional Law he can't be a Marxist? Teaching at Harvard (home of left leaning, socalist liking professors and students) is supposed to make me feel better? I'd been happier if he taught at University of Michigan's Law School.
I'd say he was well studied and knows the weaknesses of our Constitution better than most. Therefore, he can use an agenda that allows for the transformation of the very documents which protect us from Big Government to infringe upon us even more.
Obama and Cynthia McKinney are more alike than you'd would like to believe.

AND THEY DON'T TRUST WHITEY!!

Doesn't matter really. He'll win by electoral votes and the rest of the country that votes McCain will be branded racist.

Given the mood on this website and others I visit, I wonder if I get to be present to see the end of the US as I knew it growing up. Seems to me we've become so bitterly divided that nobody, even two extremely bright candidates, have a chance at forming the kind of unanimity we need to get ourselves out of the various holes we're in.

"The Decline and Fall of the American Empire." Chinese and Indian kids will be reading it and feeling sort of sad for us...perhaps like I did reading about the United Kingdom as a student.

Gas is $3.57 today. KP predicted it would never go below $4.00.

He never predicted financial collapse. A lot of others also were worried about the Republicrats' profligate spending.

Yes we are laughing at you.

You've also been 86ed once again. Hiding your IP address is a waste of time.

Whadya mean this website? The liberals on moveon and DailyKos have been calling for the murders of everyone who disagrees with them for years. Here we just have spirited discussions.

One group wants a socialist command-and-control state. The other wants a capitalist free-for-all with certain companies being protected by the govt. Both sides feel justified in using the govt gun barrel to hector the general population with a constant barrage of new felonies and various regulations designed to protect a small number of special interests. Right now there are hundreds of stupid federal regulations that will get you more prison time than crimes like murder. Jeez, take a look at the supposed "bail out". It's lined with billions and billions of earmarks and sawg-shipping and all the rancid corrupt politics that both parties used to get us here in the first place. It's like two drug gangs fighting a turf battle. Whichever side wins the normal decent people end up the losers in a kleptocratic tax slavery.
