Default You can't....

.... make this stuff up folks.

Subject Top Page: Tire Pressure Program

Here's a simple test. If you think that this is a good idea then you are a fascist.

Why? It appears to be optional.

Yeah ya bearded weirdo, it's the CHP's job to make sure your tires are inflated properly. Every State Trooper should be issued one of those neat little tire pressure gages that goes on your key ring and Low Vehicle Tire Pressure should be written in to law as a Primary Stop. I'm talking moving violation, points on your license, the whole sh*terie.. You can't go around wasting fuel like that plus you cause your tires to wear out prematurely where they wind up in a landfill for kids to climb on..

No sirree bub, scofflaws like you better buy a certified and calibrated tire pump and learn how to use it !!!

Wearing seatbelts was optional too. Then it was law here, but not a primary ticket. We were all assured it would NEVER be a primary ticket. Now it's a primary ticket. It's called the slippery slope theory, and it works for every bullshyt law ever made. Why do you think the gun lobby fights so hard against all that crap?

They were never going to ban smoking on airplanes either.

I tend to look at it more simplistically. I of course get a lot of grief from people for this tendency, but since I've managed to survive longer than anyone who criticizes me for this tendency I also tend not to give a fock what a buncha REMFs and whiners think. The simple principle here is this: If you think this is a good idea you are totalitarian.

Uhm, yeah. With the CARB LEV and then ULEV emissions being in place for several years, exactly HOW is it that automobiles that are emitting only CO2 and water vapour are polluting more and more?

Well, there's NO way it's because of CHINA:

FOXNews.com - Chinese Air Pollution Reaching U.S. Mainland - Science News | Science & Technology | Technology News

Pollution From Chinese Coal Casts a Global Shadow - New York Times

RealClearPolitics - Articles - China Becomes World's Biggest Air Polluter

How is the CARB going to regulate the air-pollution coming from China? It's not - it's just going to back the enactment of Laws that further-reduce the rights and freedoms of ordinary people.

Net difference made in Air Pollution Reduction?

Zero.
