Eardison,

You can get a RIII cheaper than that!

This is the outfit I bought my ST from...

Current Inventory/Pre-Owned Inventory from Performance Powersports of Chattanooga

Their price is "Out The Door" so you pay only sales tax when you register it at home.

Crap.. Major confusion..

1. 05 Rocket, chrome package, windshield, sissy bar, about 1k miles - $10.5k.

2. See Pushrod's link.. 06 rocket standard.. New in crate, but no extra chrome, windshield, blah, blah, for $12k

3. Red rocket, 05, looks like it has extra chrome, small tear in seat (he says 1/2 inch), 3,700 miles... The guy is asking 9,9k... I can prob get him down to 9.4k because of a new seat at 500 bucks.

Not a new seat. A new seat cover. Fifty bucks if that.

Okay.. I did it.. I shook on it today. I'm getting the red rocket with 2700 miles. Really good shape except for a small tear in the seat where a boot thingie (technical term) got caught. $9700.00.

I just wish I could get a cashier's check on sunday!! I have to wait until monday to pick it up.

Congratulations! Sounds like a swingin' deal!

Get yourself a neck brace, 'cause that bike accelerates so hard it'll try to snap your neck!

Ride safe, and keep us posted on your experiences.

Since you're messing around with the seat anyway, nows the time to get it re-covered in leather, maybe have some custom stitching like your initials or flames or something. Costs a couple of bucks but leather seats are cool as hell. There should be somewhere local that does Hot Rod and bike upholstery work.

Talking Proud Papa

Ok guys.. So here it is.. I detailed, um.. IT on Saturday. I'm just so damn proud!!! You'll have to go to my "myspace" page and click on my pics to see the bike, well and me too. You will be able to tell just how big I am, especially long in the leg, when you see my pic.

Anyway, am I ever happy I sprung for the rocket. It was about 4k more than what I wanted to spend, but CRAP! If youre looking for x-rated torque and power and head turning good looks, set this 142hp between your legs.

I have to say, I rode a Valkyrie that was a close second, but this just rocks. Enough bragging.. No offense to anyone, I'm just chest-out, ear to ear grinnin proud!!
