The kid and I go by the Valiant Air Command Warbird museum near Moms house from time to time. I find that figure easy to believe, given the facilities and materials they have to keep their planes working. Restorations must run in the millions before they even begin to operate them.

VALIANT AIR COMMAND WARBIRD MUSEUM - Titusville Florida

Check it out, they've got a remarkable and growing collection. Right now they're building up a fleet of Vietnam era aircraft, including an F-4, a Huey, an Intruder and more.

There's a good chance that plane will be at the Confederate Air Show in Titusville this month. Many of the WWII planes still flying make that show.
I've been up in a C130 a couple of times.

4 big props make a LOT of noise.

Yeah, but 4 Wright R-1820 radial engines are to be experienced. I flew form L.A. to Miami once in a Constellation. It was like riding surrounded by 100 Harleys with open pipes.

I'm gonna hang with long ride for a few days in Daytona. I'm sure I'll get used to the sound.

He still shows-up on here now and again - but, true to his final word, he refrains from Posting.

The Knuck is gone. Some guy made him an offer he couldnt refuse.

He's gone to the dark side now. Riding a BMW.
