Funny thing about pain killers. Nothing works as good as heroin. All the drugs designed to replace opiates are even more addictive and are also more deadly to kick. Three cheers for modern drug "policy".

I finally got to see this on PPV, and I have to say Shizuki nailed it with his review. "Silver" is the best villian ever; he gets right in your head and you can't help emphathizing with him. Craig is completely human, yet still "Bond" in every scene. And the fated woman; sorry I couldnt make out her name, the scene with her in the casino was brilliant. The way she laughed yet was filled with terror, that dress, the makeup...was exqusite. I also appreciated how they brought in elements of the very first Bond films; cars, music, etc., while not stretching credibility.
And the closing sets up what should be an excellent future for the series. What more can a fan ask for?

Just bought it and watched again on DVD, my opinion stands, this is the best Bond film ever. My faves are
Thunderball From Russia with love and now this one, Danial Craig owns the role IMO and Albert Finney is a good caricature as a Highland gamekeeper. I'd say it's one of my faves..

Saw it over the weekend. No offense to anyone liking the movie but I thought it sucked. It had some nice visuals and it did lay the foundation for future characters and storylines but I found the story itself lacking. I have not liked many movies over the years. My perspective is tainted. I need to concentrate on my government stipend.
