When my little pickup finally dies I'll step up for one, that is if I can fit in it. Though currently that $399 a month buys a lot of gas on an old paid off small truck.

Here, I'll bite and waste my time with a serious answer. Enjoy:

Since I can only have 1 car, electric doesn't work for me; there are too many times I need gas-engine range. When I was married and we had two cars, one electric would have worked just fine.

When the kid starts driving in a few years, it wouldn't suprise me if he gets an electric. He understands we need to change what we're doing. As usual, the younger generation is a lot smarter than the previous.

We absolutely DO NOT live our lives exactly the same way. I think protecting the environment is important, and even if the only positive thing I can do about it is say so and vote so, that's infinitely better than bad-mouthing every effort towards improving the situation or trying to wish it away.
