When I get out of the next cursed meeting, I'm headed to the house to shift into roadgear, and I'm off to Leeds, Alabama!
A sweet running bike, beautiful weather, and a top-tier event at the other end... THAT'S what I'm talkin' about!

Right on! My first road trip of the season is Biketoberfest, weekend after this one. Its Bike Week with 1/3 the people and, sadly, no races. Still fun though!

Neal,
Didn't see you, but there was a mess'o folks there! Wow! Great event, great weather! That swap meet is just amazing. The auction was okay; a lot of bikes didn't sell, though.

So if you'd had the kid's 2012 college tuition in your pocket, what bikes would have gone home with you? Are the 60's Brit bikes still selling for big bucks? Any interesting vintage Japanese?

The best part of the listings: A "Ground Pounder" chopper sold for less than a Mustang minibike chopper!!

Hah!
My buddy bought the Groundpounder! Nobody was more surprised when the hammer fell! He was only there for the TR6C.

No kidding? Damn, those things were $20K easy when they were hot. Now they're selling for less than the price of the engine alone. He got it for under $7k, IIRC.
