I haven't seen anything that changes my opinion that Jobs changed the world. Nobody is saying other people haven't done great things with PCs and the 'net as well, but the internet couldn't happen without PCs to connect to it. The WWW runs on PCs. The fact that you can post your thoughts here today is a direct result of Jobs and Wozniak's creation of the PC.

The Texas DOT has announced that: "Traffic accidents are caused by skid marks."

The state DOT researchers found and documented a near-100% correlation between traffic accidents and skid marks. "Wherever we find these cars colliding," he explained, "we also find these skid marks."

THey did allow cloning while Jobs was gone and almost went out of business.

There is a big difference between market share and profit.

I whole heartedly agree. The market share at any cost like Keynesian economics is is a loser strategy that unfortunately is still being pushed today.

Whatever your opinion of Steve Jobs, that GUI and mouse thing he "stole" from Xerox PARC. He did not come up with it. He did make it mainstream.

By then it was waaay too late. I'm talking about the 80s and 90s when Windows3.1 and 95 were the main competition. Those systems were horribly unreliable. I'd have bought a Mac myself if they weren't twice as much as a Microsoft system PC.
