At least choke hold guy showed some mercy. They could have started raining down blows at any moment.

He asked me to not come up swinging when it got broken up.

And yeah I'm glad I didn't get a knife in the gut.

I had one forearm over my face to protect from punches and the other jammed underneath choke hold guy to protect my throat.

My poor girlfriend was sobbing. I felt so bad for her.

Once the bouncers showed up the three of them fled the scene. I'm a little sore but thankfully they didn't start punching me because I was pretty helpless at that point.
