It was pretty weird texting my pal in NY to see if HE was ok after the hurricane...kinda backwards.

In 03 and 04 we had two majors in a row. No power for 2 weeks, no stores, no gas. On the upside, we finally met the neighbors, and you could see the stars at night. The kid and I rode our bikes everywhere, and we learned that life without media isn't that bad.

The state DOT researchers found and documented a near-100% correlation between traffic accidents and skid marks. "Wherever we find these cars colliding," he explained, "we also find these skid marks."

Ain't that the truth.

My son and I have gone to dinner a few times recently and we both leave our cell phones at home. It leads to a much more pleasant experience.

I'm not a FB or Twitter nerd but people have constant access to you and it gets tiring after a while.
