Default Stolen Moto Alert! - Alabama

Quote:
Our endurance race buddy Ian Coleman had his trailer and bike stolen from his house yesterday. He lives in Deatsville, Al, just outside of Montgomery. It is a very new and nice black and chrome dual axle trailer (A/C and everything) with a newer GSXR 750 (blue and white with race stickers all over it #601) and all his stuff he takes to the races, generator and everything. Please send this to every motorcyclist you know and lets get these scumbags. Thanks for all the help. Bill.

Just passing-along info that was forwarded to me.

Gaddammit, but I hate thieves.

Seriously.

That's too bad. I chain my trailer to a fence. It's just too easy for someone to hook up a loose trailer and drive off.

If I had that much invested into a trailer/bike, I'd do a hell of a lot more than just chain it to a fence. But then I lean towards the paranoid side when it comes to this kind of stuff.

I have an "Emergency Response" trailer I'm responsible for at work - I have a hitch lock on it, a 5/8" hardened chain & big-ass lock (with a shielded shackle) wrapped-around the axle and fastening it to a 1" rebar-loop sunk into 12" of concrete beneath it, and a DVR Camera pointed directly at it. I still don't think of it as "Theft-Proof" - merely harder to steal than others.

At least the Thieves will have to do a bit of work to make off with it.

The result of living in South Florida. Where the crack-heads strip the copper wire from the streetlights to get a fix.

When I lived in a large apartment complex, every bike that I saw parked in the lot on a daily basis was stolen. One guy's new 600 supersport lasted TWO nights. I rented a 10X10 at Public Storage. For $100/month, it was well worth not sweating if the bike would still be there in the morning.

Thomas Jefferson wrote that the 1st Amendment erected a "wall of separation" between the church and the state (James Madison said it "drew a line," but it is Jefferson's term that sticks with us today). The phrase is commonly thought to mean that the government should not establish, support, or otherwise involve itself in any religion.

Its.......A FACT!

I would too but I only have a 2005 Polaris snowmobile on it. I figure the chain link fence post is discouragement enough.

Better keep it around back or people might dump a couple more on it for you
