Default Biker down

Need some help/advise; I jammed my left leg pretty bad a couple of weeks ago and the surgeon gave me some pretty grim news yesterday. I don't know if I'll ever be able to walk again but not being able to ride is stressing me out. I ride a 2007 HD Softail Custom and it's as much a part of me as this busted leg. Anyone out there got any suggestions? I'm thinking of turning it into a trike but just trying to get my options together at this point.

I'd put some Sta-bil in the gas tank and connect the Battery Tender, and give your leg some time.

If you hit the Physical Therapy real hard, you may heal enough to ride again.

Converting a bike to a trike is a very expensive project. And, assuming you are talking about a 'rear-wheel trike,' you end up with a vehicle that possesses 'ambush' handling characteristics.

Good luck!

Worry about the PT classes, first. Doctors seem to give you the worst and never discuss the possibility of recovery. As for the worst, I had a buddy lose a leg. Put on the prostesis and he's riding. Work- don't worry.

A good opportunity to try out a CanAm Spyder.

But stick with the PT for now. And don't put much credence in the predictions of doctors. People recover from "unrecoverable" predictions all the time. Your attitude is most important. Mind is greater then matter.

It could be worse, believe me.
