I was hanging at the GF's house the other night. She had some friends over for dinner. Her daughter's BF is a fledgling motocross rider. He's 15 and really good and just below pro level.

Anyway, I learned a new term. At the track, when you see a guy all tatted and pierced and wearing all the latest gear yet he's slow as molasses, he's got "Bro Status."

As in: "that dude sucks but he's got bro status."

There ya go. Edumacated.

I think this is the same as Home Boy status. You don't have to suck to be a Home Boy however.

A ggod way to learn a new word is to use it in sentences:

"Buzglyd has total Bro Status."

"Next year at Sturgis and Daytona there will be free T-shirts for all that say 'Bro Status'."

"Sarnali just needs an earring to achieve Bro Status."

BTW, I talked to the dad who is also the son's mechanic and he ranted and raved how much 4 strokes suck and it's basically cost him a small fortune to keep his kid racing.
