A buddy turned me on to this site.
Look up the vessel of interest, and see pictures and info on her. Each one has, to some extent, a Crew List. So you can see if a shipmate has logged in. Here 'tis! Unofficial US Navy Site I haven't logged in to the Independence list yet, but I have submitted info for the Florikan. There are pictures of Florikan in Suisun Bay. Man, I thought the Indy looked bad... Hoo-yah!

I'm on the crew list for the Indy under '74-75. Looking at the Ship site I shows Kennedy as it's own class, I always though Connie, Kitty Hawk and America were Kennedy class too.

Well, I thought America and JFK were the same class. IIRC, they were supposed to be nukes, but the funding dried up, and they put conventional boilers in. I heard they had huge machinery spaces.
I've got to log into the '78 (and the '79 - 82) crew lists.

I was on from '75~'79. Did I tell you I have a Ret. BTCM and a Ret. MMC on my crew? ...and me a lowly BT3...........(snicker)....

I just logged in to the crew list, and checked the 'Who served with me?' link.
Some PRAN named Cuddy was on the list. Some snot-nose, I'm guessing. Probably deaf from working under the arresting gear.

Well cripes if the site is full of bird farmers then I'll just stick with the individual ship site that's been around for my Can for years already. Have you guys checked for a specific site for the Indy?

Yeah, I lived in the 10 man on the '03 on the starboard side, between arresting gear motor 2 & 3.
Every thime an A3 would land I'd get bounced out of my rack (almost). Me and the old lady made CV41 in San Diego on Tuesday, I closed my eyes and the smell told me I was on a carrier. Dinky boat, only had two hanger decks. Got me another hat to ruin too. hahahhaha.

That's what we're talking about, the link to the Indy is under Forrestal class CV's. I'm on the crew list for '74-'75 about halfway down as Taylor, Steven BT 4 mmr
