OK, I've been back from the hospital for 2 days after total knee replacement. This short period has revealed that TV really DOES suck.

I have gotten some good recommendations from you guys in the past, notably "Firefly"/"Serenity". Thanks for that!

FWIW Just watched "Saints and Soldiers" an eerie period piece centered around the Malmedy Massacre. Very good movie.

Ladies and gentlemen, what have you got?

I liked all the Bourne (Matt Damon) movies, as well as the Ocean's's, and the Italian Job (either the old one or the new one).

Sure, they are not Oscar contenders, but then with the meds you're probably on, you can't keep up with the plot anyhow.

If you haven't seen 'Up', I highly recommend it. It's a cartoon, but it is a really good story. Beginning of the movie is a hankie alert.

If you can view online content, you might try the "Dollhouse" series on Fox. Same guy (Joss Whedon) as Firefly/Buffy. I just couldn't catch the show on Friday evenings.

And, of course, any Mel Brooks movie.
