My father passed away from the same thing a few years back. Nasty disease. By the time you realize you have it, it is almost always too late.
I was just rocking some Rainbow today.

Stargazer is a classic.

No offense to Dio, but Black Sabbath became boring and repetitive back in the 70s. I think I quit listening after IV. Most of those metal bands sound the same. How does one tell the difference between Iron Maiden, Metallica, Black Sabbath and Judas Priest?

I made it about that far, I think Master of Reality was the high point for them. The Scorpions were pretty good....AC/DC....Guns and Roses..... When I think of 80's music I think of new wave, Brit Invasion bands, that's what I was listening to. I didn't really listen to rock again until Grunge made it out of underground Seattle and Portland taverns

In fact I'd have to say IMO the 8o's butt-rock hair bands were the low point in music, it wasn't until bands like Rammstien and The Offspring, Pennywise, Tool, and the Deftones came along that music got interesting again. No matter I listen to classical music now most of the time anyway, or geezers like this.....

I've seen Dio with and without Black Sabbath. Solo was better live.
