I watched an excellent one last night called "Downfall" it's based on Trudle Junge's recollections of the last weeks in the Fuhrer bunker up to the surrender and her escape through the Red Army lines. Excellent flick, in Deutsche w/ English sub titles. It's actually the film they made the Hitlers VFR YouTube gag video from.

Nothing is original. Even I was a bit annoyed at the eco anti-corp anti-military browbeating I had to endure to enjoy the movie's amazing CGI and sci-fi features. Ok Cameron, send your message, but you don't have to tattoo it on my forehead. After seeing it in IMAX 3D I'm not sure I even want to see it again in BD.

Ironman II on 5/8 at the IMAX!!

I saw that! It was f'ing AMAZING!! It was so engrossing, after 10 minutes I didn't even notice the subtitles. By the time it was over, I felt like I'd been in the bunker myself. If ever anyone wonders just how sick those Nazi f'ers really were...the scene where they're killing their own kids ought to tell them something. Or sacraficing 100's of thousands of civilians instead of surrendering. A-holes.

That party scene as Berlin was falling looked like a hell of a good time!

Yeah there were plenty of Bush references "Daisy Cutters" etc. Plus the final eco-wacko line from our paralyzed hero:

"There's no green left there. They killed their mother."

I threw up in my mouth after that one.

But it was still fun to watch and looks pretty rad in BluRay on my 1080p plasma.

Great flick. I went and bought a copy last year.

Maybe Michael Bay will do a remake. Scarlett Johansson as the secretary. George Clooney as Goebbels. Hitler will go down fighting Russkies with an MG42 in each hand.

Saw Avatar in 3D. Amazing effects, sh!tty storyline, kinda pissed he ripped-off the "Unobtanium" standing joke among racer-types.

I might netflix it, just so I can RiffTrax it and watch Mike Nelson, Kevin Murphy, and Bill Corbett rip it a new one (MST3K Style!)

Like the guy said, Cameron spent so much time on the 3D graphics that he forgot that the characters were 1D. I can see Avatar as a good candidate for an MST3K party.
