"What I'm contending with all summer is the idiots who go full bore past my house every ten minutes at WOT with open pipes."

Let me know where you live. I can make it every five minutes.

Actually, I love how certain individuals appointed themselves the judge and jury as to what is too loud and what isn't. What sounds good and what doesn't. Funny how they get all pi$$ed off at people who reserved the same right for themselves as to what is too loud and what sounds good, but it doesn't agree with their opinion. I finally figured out what the supposed 'noise problem' is. Nobody with an illegal, loud pipe thinks they are part of the problem. The worst part is they think they are part of the solution.

I hate open pipes, unless of coarse Iam at a Motogp event. Open Harleys sound the worst cause they take so long to move out of sight and more importantly sound.

I dont think my exhaust is that loud,... unless Im ringing it out and if Iamdoing that its not by anyone house at 6 O'clock in the morning.

I tend to be more pragmatic. IE It's either got an OEM EPA stamp and is therefore legal or it doesn't and is illegal. For aftermarket pipes these are fairly quiet but they're still above the EPA 80dba limit. If The Heat wants to jump in and start enforcing the Federal limits then I'm f*cked just like anyone else with non stock exhaust. Fortunately it takes about 20 minutes to switch these back so it's not a problem for me. Other with more more extensive mods may have a little more trouble.

Let me help you out, LR.

A shotgun blast near your ear is oppressively loud.

A kitten's meow is faint and kind of cute.

In between is a lot of other stuff of varying degrees that reasonable people capable of a minimal degree of logical discrimination can agree upon.

Come on over and I'll demonstrate. Bring a kitten. I've got the shotgun.

Gimme a head's up, I'll weld up some caltrops.

Then I'll come to your place and stand on the sidewalk with a bullhorn and recite Allen Ginsberg poetry.

Ah, freedom!
