Totally different situation. a GSXR can break 100 in second gear, for a Harley touring bike it's a little more difficult and I was tickled to be able to do it. This was early morning on a long straight stretch of freeway with no traffic.

I was referring more to the loud pipes, but the speed thing applies, too.
That's OK. Some of my bikes are loud and I do it all the time. ![]()

On my Shovelhead the feeling was more like vibrating your fillings out, but your point is well taken. My old W2-650 got up to 110 once and the experience was much like being strapped to a Wright Radial.
