Default You know it's bad when Italians think you're lazy.

Obama still hates black people!

This is as stupid as the Katrina criticism.

Sure would be nice, though, if some Lefties managed to admit that natural disasters are a ***** to deal with after all.

I'm not holding my breath.

European BS. Much of US aid work is done by private organizations. Europeans rely on their govts and as individuals are very stigy comapred to Americans. It's that socialism poison. They are comparing apple and oranges. The privately funded US orgs are doing faaaar more than all European nations combined, as usual.

The most effective aid to the Third World comes from those eeeeeeevil Christians.

You'd think those oil-rich Moslem Arabs would be the most generous. But semtex and Romanian hookers will eat up a budget fast. At the end of the month there's barely enough left to wash your fourteen Rolls with champagne.

It's similar to our strategy in the War on Terrorism(tm): We'd rather f' up the relief effort "over there" than f' it up on our home soil!

Pretty crafty, if you ask me.

I noted the amounts sent already to Haiti that were quietly quoted in the article: US - $184M+; Italy - $9M+.

Howzabout a heapin' helpin' of STFU, Bertolaso.

You haven't heard the funniest part Buz. 'The Messiah' got an 80% approval rating on his handling of this 'crisis'. If it was Bush, they would have skewered and BBQ'ed him a week ago. Just goes to show the double standard with Liberals.

This guy Bertolaso is an armchair quarterback. Why doesn't he fly over to Haiti and get to work?

Liberals beat the crap out of Bush, Conservatives beat the crap out of Obama. How's that a double standard? It's just politics...you approve of "your guy" and disapprove of the "other guy."

Actually, the way it works is that you approve of your guy when he does right, and disapprove when he does wrong. And with the other guy, it's... exactly the same thing.

F'r'instance, I thought it was unfair to criticize Bush for Katrina. And I feel the same about Obama and Haiti. And I thought it was shameful of Bush and the Repub Congress to run up the national debt, and I feel four times more contemptuous of Obama and the Dems for running it up four times as badly.

Now, the libby I work with gave me the "Bush spends like a drunken sailor" stuff during his administrations if it was a gotcha, but I totally agreed. Today? My co-worker's fiscal conservatism is nowhere to be found. Not one word of criticism for Obama for being four times the spender Bush was.

So, maybe your way really is the way it works in some quarters. Not in mine.
