Probably no "Thank you's" have been offered, either.

That's just the typical syndrome you get from any spoiled child or entitlement recipient. "You owe me. Wah wah wah. Gimmee gimmee gimmee." Haiti has been the recipient of massive amounts of free handout for decades. All wasted. In fact Haiti was recently listed as the most corrupt nation on Earth.

Balony, how hard can it be? throw a bunch of cans of beanie wienies and some toilet paper on a plane and point it in the right direction.........

This is clearly a case of racism in the military left over from Bush's failed policies towards Cuba.

I'll bet there is still a warehouse full of C-Rats "Ham and Lima Beans" we could send. But then they would call it an atrocity.

And they'd be right.

That's some nasty stuff alright. They used to break out a bunch of boxes of C-rats when we were at GQ for hours at a time during Fleet National Week. They'd bring a case down as far as the scuttle and we'd have to get permission to break Zebra to retrieve it. I particularly enjoyed the 20 year old Lucky Strikes...

Yeah, but you smoked them anyhow!

Of course, the DFM on your fingers helped...

Pretty much completely off-topic:

The USS Independence (LCS-2) is being commissioned tomorrow (1/16)!

Welcome to the USS Independence LCS 2

Not necessarily. That is, six degrees of separation.

You never forget that smell eh? that hot metal- ozone steam and DFM smell that hits you as soon as you reach the upper level, the FDB's screaming in your ears, the handrails burning your hands......

Home Again........
