Default A GW Classic!

Funniest thing I have ever read. Probably the most honest too:

Steyn's a genius. He and Krauthammer are always must-reads.

Does anyone ever think of the Planet's feelings? Here Gaia's got enough trouble with menopause and hot-flashes, and every time she has a little "power surge" (as a female-friend of mine once called them!) people take to the streets waving signs and screaming obscenities.

Think what that'll DO to the self-esteem of a sensitive planet like the Earth!

Related gems from Aussie blogger Tim Blair:

Quote:
"Michael Dukes, the forecast manager at Meteogroup, says the Nasa satellite image of Britain shows snow over almost the entire country."

Indeed it does. But what precise area is the source of this extraordinary coldening?

"He says that the swirl of cloud over East Anglia is the cumulus cloud system that caused snow showers today."

East Anglia? Oh, my. The massive cold is coming straight from Hide-The-Decline Central! Britain has evidently called upon itself a Gore Effect* of terrifying power.
*Gore Effect - a phenomenon in which temperatures plummet in areas where Al Gore gives a speech about global warming. The effect extends to any area where any conferences or demonstrations supporting the theory occur.

Quote:
“Snowfalls are now just a thing of the past,” claimed the Independent, back in March 2000:

"Britain’s winter ends tomorrow with further indications of a striking environmental change: snow is starting to disappear from our lives."

"Sledges, snowmen, snowballs and the excitement of waking to find that the stuff has settled outside are all a rapidly diminishing part of Britain’s culture, as warmer winters - which scientists are attributing to global climate change - produce not only fewer white Christmases, but fewer white Januaries and Februaries."

What sort of kooky climate clown would ever predict such a thing?

"According to Dr David Viner, a senior research scientist at the climatic research unit (CRU) of the University of East Anglia, within a few years winter snowfall will become “a very rare and exciting event”.

“Children just aren’t going to know what snow is,” he said.

They might be getting a vague idea now.

“So when the right wing ****tards have caused it to be too late to fix the problem, and we start seeing the devastating consequences and we start seeing end of the World type events - how will we punish those responsible. It will be too late. So shouldn't we start punishing them now?"

I think Ken needs to answer this question.
