That's all well and good. It just doesn't jibe with "Change We Can Believe In". Unless "jibe" means "to be completely the opposite of."

Adults know you have to engage in distasteful realpolitik. But it's rather disingenuous to campaign on a platform of being morally superior to the other party. That's the point.

You don't get it. The Liberals ARE morally superior, and the Dems call themselves the 'tolerant' party. Conservatives are evil, racist, conspirators that plot to derail all the good the Liberals want to spread to the rest of us. Just look at the numbers of Global Warming believers. Dems are about 75%. It shows you how caring and moral (as well as completely stupid) they are!
