Default Concession Business

Pulling the trigger on a new side project. After much thought and hours of research Kim and I have come to the conclusion that there's no way we're sinking a hundred thousand into the next business with Barry at the helm.
So, we decided to alter the cigar idea a little. I bought a Volvo DL wagon and were going to work weekends at bike and hotrod shows selling premium cigars and coffees. Not super high dollar stuff. Stuff that makes for easy cash transactions. I've got most of the paperwork done. Found my cigar supplier and am working on the coffee supplier now. Insurance is affordable. The car is reliable and the trailer I will have less than $8k into. With about $10k in inventory I will be up and running. I won't be able to make the Daytona timeline, but will be able to work in Thunder Beach in PCB and move forward from there. No AMA races, but I will work SCCA and Petit LeMans events and a few NASCAR events. Everything else will be ralleys and festivals. If anyone here have any leads on festivals or large gathering events of interest let me know.

Should be. Motorcycle insurance isn't paying the bills anymore. We break even monthly only if I skip a paycheck lately. With things so slow I had to have a side gig. This seems like the ticket. I figure I can do this for 4-6 yrs before smoking is considered a class A narcotic. Either that or they legalize Pot by then and the free enterprise system will work it's magic. Either way I'm good.

Sounds cool Ace. I'm in for a Fuente or two at any event you are at. What do you have against Barry anyway? Ken likes him, so he must be a socko dude!

Kirk,

Good luck!

Send me a PM when you make arrangements for the Spring ThunderBeach. I'll make a point of swinging by.

If you can choose your site, try for the Edgewater location. There may be a bit more traffic at the Frank Brown Park site, but you will be extremely exposed to the elements.

I saw concession business and figured you were going to work for the Dali Obama. You'd fly around the world making concessions and apologizing.

I think we're onto something here. The market seems to be ripe for that now.

Who's are our cigar smoker's? I need to find someone that is a regular buyer that will give me the shop name, number and shop owner name of their favorite tobacconist. I have questions on margins and need input from several different sources.

I can't help. I get my sticks from either cigarbid.com or Mike's Cigar's, down by Ken.

I like Punch Corojo, if you care.
