Didn't you get the memo? According to the far left lefties, of which Obama is one, Harry S. Truman was a racist imperialist who used the bomb only to scare the Russians. It was a "mean spirited" attack meant to silence the dissent of the Japanese people. We should apologize for winning the war with less caualties.

My Dad spent most of the war as a crew chief in a bomber training group in New Mexico because he was a bit old for combat. However in spring of 1945 they closed the training groups and everyone got orders for the Pacific to invade Japan. He was going to fly in a B-25. It would have cost a million casualties to invade Japan. Probably 100,000 on the beach. Like their propaganda lies about them ending segregation the Dems are the most bloodthirsty in foreign policy by far. It is very clever to claim to be anti-war while taking actions that end up in the worst wars.
