Best thing that ever happened to the city. It was going to hang us for a few hundred million in debt nobody could afford. They DID spend 100 million just for the bid. Criminal.

Don't forget what it cost to fly the Dali Obama and the 1st lady in separate jets plus support. Guess he's gonna have to pay off the mayor another way.

I'm a D for the simple reason I'm not religious and I dont hate Gays. I'd love a 3rd option but unfortunately it doesnt look like we have any options at all.

I simply stated I cannot support a party that their main foundation is those two issues currently. What other than God and the Gay Agenda does the Republicans stand for anymore? Sure dont support small gov as we've seen over the past decade (so I have no idea why a libertarian would be supporting them now). They don't support the working class (who does?) so other than corp and "God" who do they support? The Dems while answering to their corp masters at least put up a front that they are for the working man.

Many Dems are Gay hating Religious nutz too, but its not the party line. People are free to hate and believe anything they want. But when the party puts it front and center, I can not stand behind that, especially when they dont stand for anything they used to stand for anymore anyway.

So back to my other question, Who's the Person come 2012? Honestly, who? Anyone, Bueller, anyone...

I would have been surprised if Rio didn't get the 2016 Summer Olympics. The only thing I'm wondering is how many spectators will actually show up. But considering that the Beijing games were so big, Rio will probably be, too.
