Default Ride Report Bmw

I finally had a chance to put some decent miles (about 150) on the K today. My son started 6th grade and is playing football so my riding is severely curtailed. I sneaked out today while he was at school.

What can I say that wasn't said in the road test. This bike is just insanely fast and smooth. It doesn't flick through tight corners like my Duc but still handles incredibly well.

I've already replaced the windshield with a CalSci model which greatly reduces noise and buffeting. California Scientific Motorcycle Windshields

I easily flicked her up to the ton today on Hwy 94. It returned about 43 mpg with some serious a$$ hauling.

About the only other change I would make would be a different seat for long mileage. The stock seat is comfy but just too narrow. You feel like you're perched on your butt bones after a while.

Siskel and Ebert say two thumbs up. It's an amazing motorcycle.

I'll pull a couple of spark plug wires so it will feel more natural to you.

I love the GT1000! Such a nice looking bike. I was this close [--> <--] to getting the GT1000. Alas, for my type of riding, the Ulysses was the better bike.

I dunno' we could have called him Lon Chainy........

I've been on vacation here so I must of missed it....which K model did you get? A friend of mine named Steve Swop sells Beemers at South Sound BMW in Fife he rides a K-S, I also have a friend at work that rides an LT... I gave them a good looking over, specially the GT and R-RT, nice bikes. I just kept coming back to the FLH Standard as a better fit over all.

I got a 2009 K1300GT. I'm not a fan of the Boxer and the LT is just too damn big and ready for a re-do anyway.

I considered another Harley but the dealers still haven't stepped into reality. I got this baby for almost 5 grand off msrp.
