Default Vacation!

Obama appears to be serious about having fun on vacation -- latimes.com

And he sure deserves it after 8 months of deficit expansion, shytting on our allies, cozying up to murdering dictators, appointing radical misanthropic ex-cons as "czars", doing nothing about skyrocketing employment. We should just line up for our cake, eh?

Imagine what Zero's lackies and lickspittles would be saying if Bush did this.

I'll bet the stock market goes up the whole time he is on vacation.

Oh seru, you forgot to mention the deadliest month in Afghanistan.

I don't have to imagine it. They quoted Leon Panetta from 2001 and he was lambasting Bush for vacationing while things were bad in the country. Funny how quiet Leon is now!

I guess you haven't read the best news yet:

White House, Congress projects record deficits | Comcast.net

I don't even think Ken will be along to defend this.

Gee, the Persians, Rome, Alexander the Great, England, the former Soviet Union and now the US of A could never control the southern or eastern parts of Afghanistan. Hell, England was fighting there from 1834to around 1880. Either nuke it, or stay away. We'll be there for decades, losing a few dozen troops every couple of days in bombing mishaps. Read history for cripessakes. Nuke the caves, and the high passes and you'll win. Like Esturias in Spain, the terrain prohibits invaders from winning.

Bush had already taken 2 months vacation by this time. Have you already forgotten he set the record for most vacation days at 1/3 of his time in office?

Well read this:

"While the president of the United States is never completely on vacation, most commanders-in-chief manage to enjoy a respite from the daily grind during their stay the White House. George W. Bush seems to have taken this to the extreme early in his tenure as president. A humorous, fake resume for Bush suggests that he set the record for most days on vacation by any president in U.S. history -- a bit of an exaggeration, but still cause for some teasing.
According to an August 2003 article in the Washington Post, President Bush has spent all or part of 166 days during his presidency at his Crawford, Texas, ranch or en route. Add the time spent at or en route to the presidential retreat of Camp David and at the Bush family estate in Kennebunkport, Maine, and Bush has taken 250 days off as of August 2003. That's 27% of his presidency spent on vacation. Although to be fair, much of this time is classified as a "working vacation."

So this pretty much debunks your theory. Don't mean to let the facts get in the way of a nice Bush Bash though.

Hi Guys,

What the Left seems to forget is that with the office comes the responsibility---or should I be cute and say, "Wesponsibility"?

So what if Bush was the worst human to ever dump behind a rock? Despite Keith Olbermann, Bush is *gone*. Obama is in charge now, and must bear the same weight that any other President bears: if it happens on his watch, it's his fault. No one says, "Roosevelt developed the Atomic bomb and didn't even tell his V.P., and then they dropped it on Japan". Nope....they say, "Truman dropped the bomb!" (And a good thing, too!)

Learn from history? Of course we need to learn from history, but to spend endless energy and time and treasure attempting to dump every little or large problem at the feet of past Presidents is absurd. Spend some of that energy finding solutions and we'll be a lot better off.......

I could go on, but it's useless: those who love Bush and hate Obama will still feel that way, and those who think Bush was a monster and Obama walks on water will still be waiting for the loaves and fishes.

Life goes on....and on...and on. I like it when we have a Demo President and a Republican congress, or vice versa---that way, neither Party can do much damage.....

Ah, I see Socko is still addicted to Crack. I've quit completely with the responses to him - he's nucking futs. What do you expect from a "McCain Republican", eh?

YOU seem to have a pretty-good grasp of the "Big Picture", though.

I was saying that when the Russians were stupid enough to invade. Too bad each generation has new politicians so overwhelmed by hubris that they ignore all the lessons of the past. "This time we'll do it right because we're smarter than everyone else" or some such rot.

The Obama administration makes the Bush one look intelligent. A scary thought.
