It's all Bush's fault.

It was just an overly lean fuel mixture.

Not exactly unusual:

Toyota’s U.S. sales plunged 42 percent in April compared to April 2008, the world’s largest automaker reported. Toyota-made Lexus sales were down 39 percent. (Lexus sales make up such a small percentage of Toyota sales as to make no impact on the overall percentage change.)

Year-to-date Toyota sales were down 38 percent.

Sales of General Motors vehicles were down 34.5 percent in April compared to April 2008, the Detroit Big Three automaker reported moments ago.

Forecasters expected GM to be down 36 percent for the month, so it’s a bit of a victory for the embattled automaker.

Ford sales were down 31.6 percent last month.

Forecasters expected Ford sales to be down 28.8 percent in April.

Nissan was down 38 percent in April, while Subaru broke its several-month winning streak, reporting a 6.7 percent decrease in April U.S. sales.

Most if not all the vehicle manufacturers are in the same boat........and the boat is sinking!

No, it's an industry wide downturn, I doubt if the big four Japanese manufactureres are doing even that well...

Maybe they could do something stupid like buy MV. Ok, forget I mentioned something as boneheaded as that.

Maybe they can get Fiat to buy it back? I swear, if you would have told me Fiat would rule the automotive world someday, when I was trying to shift a miserable Fiat 500 with the crash box, I would have punched someone.
